Cristina Bejan, Ph.D., most recently was a Research Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington D.C. For the academic year 2010-2011, Bejan served as the Ion Ratiu Post-Doctoral Fellow in Romanian Studies at CERES in Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. She received her DPhil (Ph.D.) in Modern History in 2010, from the University of Oxford, where she also received her Master's degree and studied as both a Rhodes and Fulbright Scholar.
Bing LiuVisiting Research Scholar Tsinghua UniversityInstitute for Science and Technology StudiesLIU Bing graduated from Peking University (physics department) and Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is currently a professor of history of science in the Institute for Science and Technology Studies and director of the Center for Science Communication and Popularization of CAST at Tsinghua University, as well as a guest professor at some universities in China, including Shanghai Jiaotong University, etc. Professor Liu is a visiting research scholar hosted by the Duke Center for European Studies for the month of March. His current research fields include history of physics, historiography of science, philosophy of science, and science communication.

Alexander Naraniecki, Ph.D., was a visiting scholar hosted by the Center for European Studies for several weeks during the fall 2012 semester. During his time here, he gave a seminar on the topic of Karl Popper and his influence on Australian multiculturalism.

Jingjin Wang is a doctoral student at Tsinghua University. She is a visiting research scholar hosted by the Center for European Studies and the Program in the History and Philosophy of Science, Technology & Medicine for the 2012-13 academic year. During her time at Duke she will focus her research on the life and work of philosopher Joseph Agassi.
