A note on Final Project Proposals

Final Project Proposals need to include 3 sections: Put your project in perspective.  Give references to related work (both art historical and technical if available).  i.e. what are your background materials. What do you want to achieve? How will you get there (give milestones on your work flow)

Assignment #5 / Sketchup Ruby Scripts / Sandbox Video Tutorials

Assignment #5 is now available on the Assignments page.  Due date is Friday, February 13th. I highly recommend the use of ruby scripts (aka plugins or extensions) to extend and enhance the functionality of Sketchup.  Let me know if you encounter any roadblocks to installing them on the lab computers.  Some good .rb scripts can [...]

Texture Exercise Files Available

These have been posted to the schedule, but direct links below: Creating Texture Images from a Photo / Images.zip Friday’s lab will continue to focus on textures in Photoshop and applying them in Sketchup.  We will also discuss exporting Sketchup models for the web if we have time.


Tutorial – Best Practices of Constructing with Layers
