Patricia M. Northover

Dr. Northover is a Fellow at the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES, UWI, Mona). She is currently a visiting fellow with the "Race, Space and Place" project at Duke University and a former Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, Girton College. She is currently completing a monograph on the sugar industry in Jamaica and is developing a research program with Michaeline Crichlow (Duke University) on "Post-colonial restructuring of rural spaces, identities and state systems in contemporary globalization processes." She has recently edited a special double volume issue of the journal, Social and Economic Studies (SES), on Arthur Lewis’ "Theory of Economic Growth," and has co-authored a study on "The Future of Special and Differential Treatment in the Free Trade Area of the Americas." Her book, Growth Theory: A Critical Philosophical Perspective is forthcoming with Routledge.
