Please join us for our first seminar of the spring semester.  We will continue the planning for the USP “Futures” Symposium on March 2, integrating ideas proposed on the USP blog and during the seminar into the three group presentation categories, “Future Perfect,” “Winning the Future,” and “Uses and Abuses of the Future.” The Symposium will take place on Saturday, March 2, 2013.

In addition to symposium presentation proposals that Sam solicited, we will be discussing the 3 readings distributed over break:

  • Super Sad True Love Story (excerpt) by Gary Shteyngart
  • Global Warming’s Terrifying New Math by Bill McKibben
  • Singularity – by Ray Kurzweil
